Yeah, we should. It looks like a total dump from the outside, but the best Chinese always comes from places like that.
[He glances away from the cartoons, over at Cisco again - he was biting his lip earlier, now he's fidgeting a little. Eddie would almost think he was nervous if this wasn't a totally normal hangout. Then again, it's the first time they've hung out since Eddie spilled his problem, so maybe that's it.
He feels bad for making everything awkward, but bringing it up will just exacerbate the problem.]
Sure. We always find fun things to do, right? Maybe you can play a bit of Mario Kart with me later, I love that.
Well, yeah, but the whole 'looking like a dump, but actually great' thing only really goes for Chinese, maybe Indian, and pizza places. Or donairs and shawarma. Anything else, and it's probably just a dump.
[A little grin, bright.]
Great, I'm really glad you got me into that game. You should show me some of the other ones you like sometime.
[A beat.]
I wonder if my ability works on how well I do at video games.
[It's idle chatter, and he knows it, mostly to try to defuse any anxiety about the situation. To distract if Cisco is thinking too much about what he said.]
[M returns with a large takeout bag. The Door brought him right into the kitchenette, so he dumps the bag on the island before digging around for plates.]
Is he still complaining about that stupid video game thing I beat him at the other day?
[Finally finding the plates, he begins to unpack the bag, laying everything out for easy grabbing.]
Georg says hello and insists we eat in his restaurant properly next time.
[Eddie pushes up on an elbow to look over his shoulder as M walks into the kitchen and starts taking out all the food, then slides out of the couch and stands, turning to grin at him.
They're both here, now. His heart is beating a little too hard, but he tries to disguise the anxiety and the pang of longing at watching them interact, M in the kitchen and Cisco on the couch.]
Yeah, we were wondering if my ability affects how I play video games. He's worried about cheating.
[He shoots Cisco a bright little smile, and then nods. His stomach twinges with affection at 'Eddie Eddie' because the nickname is cute, and tries to squash the emotion.]
It's not stupid, it's Mario Kart. That game is practically a sport, and powers are absolutely cheating.
[ He leans around to look over the back of the couch, catching M's eye as he unloads the food with a small smile, letting him know yeah, he's still down for this. ]
I hope Georg can forgive us just this once. Maybe we can bring Eddie next time?
[ Cisco barely suppresses a laugh at the sausage line, and he looks over at Eddie with a grin. ]
Moving your fingers while staring at a screen is not a sport. [Not that he gives a crap about sports one way or the other, but still.
M decides to humor them anyway, and is silent for a moment while his implants work their magic.]
Depends. If you're winning no one would probably catch up, but if you're losing it's game over right there.
Unless someone knew how to brighten your spirits.
[M smirks and shakes his head a little at Cisco's remark. At least he's finally caught on with the sausage innuendos. Eddie will be sure to catch up eventually.]
Or maybe someones.
[Might as well start this conversation off naturally enough.]
[He says it with a smile, shaking his head, and rests his forearms against the back of the couch, drops his chin into his arms, watching M as he sets everything up. The sausage innuendos aren't lost on him - but he's not really in the mood to run with it. Not considering all of his awkward feelings right now...playing it dumb is absolutely the best option, as far as he's concerned.
Though the way M speaks has a certain weight to it, he can tell there's an implication there. And that...he's really not getting that. His brows furrow a little, and he tilts his head.]
Man, what do you know, anyway. You think anything that doesn't draw blood isn't a real sport.
[ He's smiling as he hops off the couch to go snag himself something to eat before they get into this conversation for real. He brushes his hand across the small of M's back as he moves through the kitchen to grab some plates and silverware. ]
What he means is we're glad you came over tonight. The three of us should spend more time together.
[For the moment, Eddie stays on the couch, watches as Cisco goes into the kitchen and moves with M in that intimate way that couples have, the way he used to move with Iris. A hand on the small of the back, gentle touches of affection. For a moment, his heart clenches, and he glances down and away.
Cisco and M are bantering back and forth about sports, and then there's that hint of something else, some meaning behind what they're saying that he's missing.
Rather than dwell on it, he stands up and starts toward the kitchen, watching the two of them with a slight smile on his face, padding up to the counter for a plate and silverware.]
Sure. You guys know you're my closest friends here. [He glances down at the food, then back up again.] But what would we possibly do besides kick Cisco's ass at Mario Kart?
[ Normally, Cisco's really not one to waste food. Especially not Georg's food. But that's just the perfect opener, isn't it? So he sets his plate down on the counter and, brushing his hand across M's arm again, he steps in closer to Eddie, edging into his personal space. This is either gonna go really well, and the food will be forgotten, or really horribly, and no one will be in the mood for sausage of any kind.
Here goes nothing. ]
...Well. We kinda had something specific in mind, if you're up for it.
[It's all pretty routine until Cisco starts moving into his personal space. Taking a sharp little breath, his eyes skim to Cisco's face, meeting his dark eyes for a moment, a brow raised slightly in confusion.
Then M's hand is sliding over his, and his eyes flick from Cisco's face, down to his hand, and then up to M's.]
What's going on here?
IT'S BUGGING ME ENOUGH THAT I HAVE TO FIX THE ICON I'M SORRY
[ Cisco meets Eddie's confused look with a slight grin. ]
An invitation. [ He hesitates then. ] One that if you're not down for, that's totally cool, we'll drop it and we can all just pretend it never happened. But. [ The grin is back, hopeful, and he's biting his lip. ]
You told me you're into us. And, uh. We're into you.
[For a few very long moments, he's completely quiet, just looking back and forth between M and Cisco, his expression a picture of confusion. He's trying to process what Cisco said, to understand what it is Cisco means.
For a moment, his eyes linger on M's face, the expression he's wearing, trying to figure that out too.
His throat bobs, he licks his lips, and then he looks down at his hand, with M's still over it. In a moment of clarity, he can feel how hard his heart his beating, the soft, shallow breaths he's taking. Flicking his gaze up to Cisco, who seems to be the one in charge of this whole encounter, he licks his lips again.]
Into me, how?
[He should be excited, but there's one thing nagging at him.]
Like a threesome, yeah, but more... [ He glances from Eddie to M and back, searching for the words. ] Relationshippy.
[ He smiles again, reassuring. He doesn't need M's implants to figure out what Eddie's hesitating about. He just hopes this is a solution that works for Eddie as much as he wants it to work. ]
[His eyes flick from M's face over to Cisco's when he speaks, his breath catching in his throat. For a moment, he holds Cisco's eyes and tries to comprehend the turn this conversation has taken.]
You mean like the relationship you have, but with three people? And you're both okay with that?
[For a moment, he hesitates, looking back and forth between them, rapidly.]
It's just. You two found each other first. M chose you, Cisco.
[ Eddie looks nervous, and it's freaking Cisco out a little. He rocks back on his heels and chews his lip as M speaks. Did he completely read this wrong? Is this gonna screw up a friendship he's really come to care about? ]
But hey, man, like I said, if you're not into it, we can just pretend this never happened and can just eat dinner and you guys can kick my ass at Mario Kart for the rest of the night. No pressure.
[It's hard to look past his own anxiety and confusion over the situation, at first. He's trying to process, trying to wrap his head around a relationship dynamic that he's heard about but never really considered in his own life, and trying to figure out why they want to do this, what would make them try something like this.
But when Cisco starts talking, chattering away about how if he's not into it that's okay, how they can let it go, pretend it didn't happen.
Lifting his hands, he waves them slightly, and shakes his head.]
No, no. That's not it. I'm just trying to process.
[M is squeezing his hand, and he looks up at M, squeezes in return, then looks back at Cisco.]
I wasn't lying. I...I really want both of you. How...would this thing work?
[M leans in and softly claims Eddie's lips with his own, kissing the mouth that's been taunting him since the first time Eddie dare to smile that cute little smile of his. The kiss is quick and chaste, as Eddie hasn't agreed to anything yet, and M soon pulls away.]
Followed something like this...
[M tugs on Cisco's sleeve as tall as he is, he can only reach so far across the island. Once closer, M pulls him into a kiss as well, though one much deeper. He keeps a firm grip on Cisco's hair as he lets his kiss linger. Knowing Cisco, that kiss with Eddie flared up some of his jealousy issues, even with everything they were trying to agree to, and he wants to remind him that he's just as wanted.
Eventually, reluctantly, he pulls away.]
And then Cisco will probably drag us off to go play more Mario Kart.
[ Surprisingly, seeing his boyfriend kiss another guy didn't make him jealous at all. He's as surprised as anybody else that it's... actually really kind of hot. It takes actual restraint not to groan into the kiss, and when M finally pulls back, Cisco is a little flushed. ]
Or, y'know. Something other than Mario Kart...
[ He wants to kiss Eddie too, after all. But he doesn't want to push anything more than what they've laid out so far. ]

Hopefully in ways that don't involve Mario Kart.
