[ Cisco's mouth goes dry. Did Eddie really just say that? He knows immediately that he has to lose now, because there's no way he can pass that chance up without screwing up their friendship. So he laughs and nods, but is absolutely going to throw this so Eddie wins. ]
Sure, man, like truth or dare, but decided by Nintendo. Deal.
[Cisco's agreement is quick and easy, and he nods, mouth curving into a slightly crooked grin. That look on Cisco's face is stuck in his head, and he's curious, the alcohol making it easy to ignore all the implications about their friendship.]
Absolutely. You'd better start thinking up some dares, because I'm terrible at this game.
[ He regrets picking Kirby now. He avoids any of his stronger attacks, but once they get going, it's clear the Eddie's not kidding, he's really not good at this. Cisco wonders how many times can he "accidentally" run off the edge of the map before it's too obvious.
Actually, the more in his head about their wager he gets, the worse he's playing, to the point where they're almost pretty evenly matched. ]
You seriously can't think of anything you want me to do?
[A little smirk, but then they're playing. And Eddie is bad at this game, but Cisco is seriously screwing up, even if Eddie is mostly interested in losing he doesn't think that's what's going to happen here.
And it doesn't. The first round ends with abysmal scores for both of them, and Eddie's just slightly better. Groaning, he drops his controller and shakes his head.]
[ He pours a couple of fingers of whiskey into his glass and knocks it back, grimacing a little. The tequila at the bar was definitely better quality than his whiskey, this stuff burns a little. ]
So, uh, what are you gonna ask me to do?
[ He licks the remains of the whiskey off his lips, looking over at Eddie with the kind of wide eyed curiosity that only really happens when you're drunk. ]
No kidding, I don't think I've ever won this game before. And winning against you?
[Eddie watches as Cisco drinks his whiskey, trying to figure out what dare to inflict on him. He hadn't really anticipated winning, and the whole thing was mostly to see what Cisco would ask him after that look earlier, the way he'd licked his lips.
Cisco is doing it again, too, his tongue snaking over his lips, and looking up at him with wide eyes as he asks what he's about to be asked to do. Eddie licks his own lips, watching him for a moment.]
Tell me what you meant by that body mass comment earlier.
[ Cisco looks genuinely confused for a moment. He's pretty drunk, and remembering something he said ten minutes ago is a little difficult, let alone something he hadn't meant to say out loud. Realization dawns, though, and if he weren't already flushed from the alcohol, he would be blushing. ]
Oh, oh, right. I— I just meant, y'know. You're... kinda ripped? You put more time in at the gym than I do on Netflix, man. Plus you've got like half a foot on me, easy. I mean, I know I'm a scrawny nerd, and I rock it, but you're just like... Y'know.
[He's about to take the request back at that confused expression, but then Cisco seems to remember what he said and flushes, starts rambling, he just smiles and lets him go.]
Oh come on. You're not a scrawny nerd. [A little, wicked grin.] You've got a great ass.
[Shifting against the bed, he scoots back a little and lifts the knee of the leg furthest from Cisco, eyes locked on him, mouth still curved into a little smile.]
[The smirk is still in place as he rests his elbow on the pillow and combs his free hand back through his hair, breaking up some of the product in it.]
You heard me.
[He shifts a little again, moving just a bit closer to Cisco before picking up his controller again.]
[ His head is all swimmy and Eddie's words are repeating in his mind. He sits up a little more, leaning against the wall, closing his eyes for a second and trying to center himself. He can't figure out what to do with the knowledge that Eddie thinks he has a great ass, not when they've both been drinking. It's just a compliment, right? Friends compliment each other. Maybe if he wins, he can ask Eddie just what he meant by that.
Cisco may be a genius, but sometimes, he's just not very smart. ]
...Okay. Okay, round two. You wanna switch characters up first, or are you good?
[Cisco pulls away a little to lean against the wall, and for a moment, Eddie really hopes he didn't screw up by saying that, or the flirting. But the whole movement seems to be more nervous energy than getting further away from Eddie so he tries not to sweat it. Too much.]
I don't think it'd make a difference. I'm button-mashing anyway. Let's do it.
[And he sits up a little more, tongue poking out between his teeth, just a little.]
...Hey, button-mashing can be a legitimate strategy.
[ In the second round, Cisco's actually trying this time. Unfortunately, that last shot of whiskey is making it a lot more difficult than he expected. The round ends with Cisco only barely pulling out a victory. ]
Oh thank god, I don't think I could do another whiskey shot right now.
[He says it with a little grin, and gets started. He's not as drunk as Cisco but he's way worse at the game. In the end he manages to barely lose and drops his controller with a groan.
Picking up his glass, he tops it up with two fingers of whiskey, lifts it to Cisco, and downs it in a long pull, wincing at the burn in his throat. Flopping backward, he looks up at Cisco with his eyes half-closed and releases a huff of breath.]
Alright, alright. I'm at your mercy. What do you want me to do?
[ Oh, what doesn't he want him to do? Sprawled back on his bed, eyes half closed, skin flushed from the alcohol, Eddie looks like something out of a fantasy. It takes Cisco a moment to not just blurt out the first embarrassing thing that comes to mind.
Instead, he chews his lip as he thinks it over. He's pretty sure just asking for a kiss is pathetic, right? But so is fishing for compliments about his ass again. Honestly, he's a little worried that anything he asks for is going to sound pathetic, but he's just drunk enough not to care. He takes a steadying breath, eyes flicking from Eddie's half-lidded gaze to his mouth and back up. ]
...Maybe, uh— I mean, obviously you don't have to if you don't want to, we're just messing around, right? It's not like it, y'know, means anything, if, uh— I mean.
[Cisco is still for a few moments and he can feel the heat of his gaze sliding up and down him. For a moment, he takes stock, finds that he still doesn't mind Cisco looking at him like that. Actually, it's kind of nice to have someone look at him like he's sexy, desirable.
Then Cisco is stuttering, a stream of anxious, self-conscious justifications before he asks for a kiss, and Eddie laughs, soft and abrupt. It's not a cruel laugh, just a little pleased, with a hint of relief to it, and he shakes his head.]
Thought you'd never ask.
[Shifting, he pushes himself up on an elbow, hooks his hand against the back of Cisco's nec and tugs him down closer, tilts his head, and catches Cisco's mouth with his. Cisco's lips are full and soft and Eddie can taste a hint of alcohol from him, his fingers are dug into the hair at the back of Cisco's head and it's just as soft and smooth as he'd thought it would be.]
[ Cisco doesn't even have time to process Eddie's response beyond a soft, confused "bwuh", before Eddie's tugging him down into a kiss. He catches himself on one hand, propping himself up over Eddie, but his head is spinning in a way that alcohol could never hope to be responsible for. He can taste the fresh whiskey on Eddie's lips when he instinctively brushes his tongue lightly against them. He can't help the groan that escapes as Eddie digs his fingers into his hair, either. People playing with his hair has always been his weakness, and to have Eddie's broad, warm hands cradling the back of his head like that is more than he could ever have hoped for. ]
[Eddie's too busy to register the noise Cisco makes, he's too focused on the kiss, the way Cisco's tongue brushes against his lips before he groans softly. Drunk as he is, he's lost in how good it feels, because it's been a while since he made out with someone. So he opens his mouth, pushes his tongue forward to tease against Cisco's lower lip, tilts his head more so their mouths fit together better, makes a soft noise in his own throat. His fingers keep digging into Cisco's hair, gathering it up and fisting a handful of it at the back of his head.]
[ Cisco slips forward a little, not doing a great job of holding himself up over Eddie, and then they're pressed significantly closer together. But Cisco's too lost in the kiss to care, his mouth working against Eddie's, groaning again as he brushes his tongue out to meet his, shivering at the hand in his hair. Before he even really realizes he's doing it, his other hand his sliding up Eddie's arm, feeling the play of strong muscle under the sleeve of his shirt. ]
[When Cisco slips and leans more heavily against him, he makes a soft noise in his throat, of approval and pleasure, shifts to accept Cisco's weight against himself, arching a little against the bed. His fingers keep moving through Cisco's hair, tugging and stroking at it while he opens his mouth and presses their tongues together, tasting his mouth - alcohol, mostly, beer and the sharp burn of whiskey.
When Cisco's strong hand moves up and down the line of his arm, Eddie shudders, bringing it up to hook at the small of Cisco's back, fingers hooking under the hem of his t-shirt so he can slide them against the smooth warm skin of his back.]
[ Maybe it's the alcohol, maybe it's just how long it's been since Cisco has been with anyone, but just making out, being close like this, is making his head spin. He's not usually particularly quiet when he's with someone, but he's groaning into the kiss more wantonly than just usual making out would typically call for. And at the touch of Eddie's fingers to the bare skin of his back, Cisco breaks the kiss with a shuddering gasp, pressing his forehead to Eddie's, eyes closed. With how close they are, it's impossible for Eddie to miss the fact that he's hard. ]
[It's good, better than he'd been expecting, but Cisco's mouth is warm and soft and demanding, he doesn't shy away from taking or leading things, pushing back, and it sends a thrill down Eddie's spine. Every sound Cisco makes, the way he groans into Eddie's mouth, sends another little shudder through him, and when Cisco pulls back, rests their foreheads together, Eddie's left panting a little.
Their bodies are pressed close, Cisco lying on top of him, and he can feel the hard, hot length of him pressed against his thigh. Tilting his chin up, he nips at Cisco's lower lip, tugs a little.]
Can we skip the next round, and pretend I won? There's something I want to ask you for.
